Journalist
Sage Collis is an aspiring journalist with a focus in politics and social issues. She is a junior at American University double majoring in Journalism and Political Science with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and is also enrolled in classes for her Master’s degree in Political Science with a focus in comparative politics.
She has over five years of experience as a staff writer for her school newspaper, and also spent three years working for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.
Today, Sage is a full-time student and student employee. She also just finished her internship as an Advanced Research Assistant helping conduct research and writing on medical price transparency and the price of abortion services across the country. Recently, she published an article on the rise on anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and its impact on queer youth. She grew up in a small town in coastal Maine.
